Taking Care of Yourself: A holistic approach

Training as a rugby player includes team practice, S & C, skills, drills, techniques, competing, pushing your body to its physical limits, and so much more. You keep your body in tip top condition to be able to perform all the physical components of your game. You feel the physical stress of muscle fatigue, cramping, pain, and pushing yourself just a little bit further to perform at your best, right? But what about the other half of training… the mental training, learning how to read subtle signals and cues from your body that you need to stop and rest, and taking care of your body with food and nutrition? Do you put in as much effort to that part of training, off the field?

The Athlete’s Collective is a place where we focus on taking a holistic approach when working with professional rugby athletes. We encompass mind, body, and nutrition to help you, the player, learn how to best take care of yourself on, off, and beyond the field. We have professionals in the field of nutrition, sports psychology, strength and conditioning, and physical therapy who are here to share their knowledge and expertise with you. Because when it comes down to it, being a pro rugby player is taking your training to the next level and becoming a true professional in your game and life.

At the Athlete’s Collective, we are here to support you and keep you accountable. We want to work as a team with you, guide you, listen to you, and most importantly empower you with the knowledge and tools to create healthy habits and achieve your goals. Give yourself the best possible chance to succeed in your game and your life.
